  • If you are interested in taking part in a mobility opportunity with us at Brunel University London, please refer to the following steps: 

    Step 1: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria

    You can find out the criteria for our different study abroad options here. We are proud of our global Brunel community on campus and accept a diverse range of overseas degree and English qualifications. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your academic and English eligibility. 

     

      Exchange Study Abroad
    Be enrolled in at least the second year of higher education and study full-time during your period abroad.
    Meet the English language requirements – IELTS 6.0 minimum or equivalent. 
    Hold a minimum GPA of at least 2.8/4.0 or equivalent.
    Commit to a full time programme of study during your period abroad.
    Attend a university with a valid agreement with Brunel University London.   

    Step 2: Request your current institution to nominate you for an Exchange Programme (EXCHANGE ONLY)

    If you are coming on an exchange programme, please contact your International Office or equivalent at your current institution who can advise on how to nominate you for exchange. 

    If you are coming as an independent Study Abroad student, please move to step 3.  

    Step 3: Select your modules 

    Please make provisional module choices from the Directory of International Mobility ModulesIn order to complete 60 credits per term, you would normally take three modules per term. Since some modules may not be available for you to take, we encourage you to list an additional module for each term. 

    Please note that whilst every effort is made to ensure students can enrol on their selection modules, we cannot guarantee your first choice selection. You will have the opportunity to discuss your choices during the first week of term and can alter the modules you have selected. 

    Step 4: Go through your supporting documentation checklist

    In order for us to consider your application, please ensure you have the following documentation ready for when you submit your online application:

    1. English language qualification or equivalent if English is not your first language. For a list of acceptable English qualifications and further information, please visit the English Language Requirements page
    2. Official academic transcripts from your current institution. 
    3. Copy of valid passport ID page
    4. A letter of recommendation from your current institution
    5. A completed the list of available modules. (Please refer to step 3 above for details about module selections. )

    Step 5: Register your interest by contacting us with your details and module selection form

    To register your interest, please email exchanges@brunel.ac.uk with the following details:

    1. Your full name
    2. Your contact email
    3. Your transcript
    4. Your completed module selection form

    Once received, we aim to get back within 10 working days to share your personalised application link and discuss your next steps.
